Saturday, July 14 – 2:00 – 6:00 pm
Ten Lives Club New Shelter
11275 Springville Boston Road,
Concord, NY
July 9, 2007
Aspay/neuter clinicat TLC's shelter in Concord with the mobile unit we purchased last year to help the problem of feral cats in the area.Feral cats are considered wild cats, meaning cats that have been unsocialized with little or no human contact.Twenty-oneferal cats were spayed, neutered and given vaccines and then after recovery re-released to caretakers into managed colonies or back to the properties they came from. Fifteenfemale cats and six male cats were sterilized thus reducing the serious overpopulation problem of feral cats in our area. TLC does not normally work with feral cats, but other groups such as Feral Cat Focus do.
Feral Cat Focus; a Non-profit organization was started to help reduce theFeral cat population. With Organizations working together to solve pet overpopulation – many great things can get accomplished and many, many cats saved!
