Annual Christmas Blessing Program
(Gifts for Hampton City Foster Care Division)

The Christmas Blessing Program is an event sponsored by Six House, Inc. as a way of giving back to the community during the holiday season. Six House, Inc. has partnered with the Hampton Social Services Foster Care Division to provide at least one Christmas gift to the entire foster care division (over 300 youth from infants to 18 years old). The reason for doing it is simple: we are most like Christ when we give and there can not be a true Christmas season without blessing someone else.

Six House, Inc. in partnership with Coliseum Mall sets up an information table in the mall to solicit the public to buy a gift for the needy. The response has been overwhelming as usually, youth get a minimum of three to four gifts during the event. The gifts include CD players, bicycles, gift cards, clothing items, toys and a lot more. Each gift is wrapped and presented to the youth during a Christmas program for the foster families.

After the Christmas program is over, the gifts are disseminated and the families are fed. This event is co-sponsored by Operation Breaking Through. Six House, Inc. has been recognized as the only non-profit organization to ever provide Christmas gifts to the entire foster care division of the city of Hampton. A distinction that the Six House, Inc. staff humbly accepts.
