Jacqueline Marcell

The heart-wrenching experience of caring for her elderly parents compelled Jacqueline Marcell to give up her career to become an author, radio host and international speaker, dedicating her life to eldercare awareness and reform.  Determination to save others from a similar experience resulted in her first (bestselling) book, Elder Rage, or Take My Father...Please! How to Survive Caring for Aging Parents; hosting the "Coping With Caregiving" radio show; media including TODAY, CNN, a PBS documentary, Woman's Day, Prevention, an AARP Bulletin cover story; writing for AgingCare.com and ThirdAge.com; and over 200 presentations including to the National Security Agency and Florida House of Representatives.

Jacqueline has been a professional photographer and cinematographer, a college teacher of photography and filmmaking (UCLA & USC), a vice president of sales & marketing and an executive vice president television executive- all of which she says "pales in comparison" to her new higher purpose and passion.

Jacqueline's missions are to:  help improve eldercare laws; encourage long-term care planning; show healthcare professionals how they can better help families; empower caregivers with solutions and to put their health first; advocate for funding for abuse/exploitation; bring attention to Adult Day Care which saved her parents' lives as well as her own.  She's testified before the Assistant Secretary on Aging and received a Media Award from the National Adult Day Services Association.  She was also honored with Advocate of the Year from the National Association of Women Business Owners at their Remarkable Women Awards.
