The RMHC Junior Board of 2008 – 2009 celebrated their accomplishments at a luncheon Saturday, May 16. The Ronald McDonald House Charities Junior Board provides juniors and seniors from local high schools with the opportunity to refine their leadership skills while concentrating on ways to build philanthropy in the Greater Charleston area. This will be accomplished through leadership and team-building activities as well as through philanthropic projects for Ronald McDonald House.
Junior Board members are eligible for scholarships based on their participation, community involvement and written essay. Jocelyn Paonita from Fort Dorchester High School received the $1000 Leadership Award. Elizabeth Miller from Bishop England earned the $750 Visionary Award and the winner of the $500 Pacesetter Award was Anastasia Kachur from Academic Magnet.
