Board of Directors and Team Leadership Positions


The following positions are open on our Board of Directors.  Interested persons are welcome to apply online or contact the QCLP Executive Director at

Executive Committee 
 
President

The President is responsible for representing Quad-City Labyrinth Project in an official capacity and steering the organization in the direction of its strategic goals. The President gives notice of and presides at all meetings of the Executive Committee, Advisory Council, Board of Directors, and all meetings of committees as deemed appropriate; and records or has recorded the minutes of all proceedings. With the assistance of the Executive Committee and Standing Committee Team Leaders, the President prepares the annual report of the Board of Directors and present it at the annual meeting.  Time commitment averages 10 hours per month.  Length of term is 2 years, beginning July 1, 2007 and ending June 30, 2009.  Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree (related experience or coursework will be considered), some management experience (preferably in the non-profit sector), and be computer literate, especially in the use of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and e-mail.  APPLY NOW.

Vice President

The Vice President is a member of the Executive Committee and is responsible for performing the duties of the President in the President’s absence.  The Vice President may sign legal papers on behalf of the organization and performs other duties as assigned by the President.  Time commitment averages 5 hours per month.  Length of term is 2 years, beginning immediately and ending June 30, 2008.  Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree (related experience or coursework will be considered), some management experience (preferably in the nonprofit sector), and be computer literate, especially in the use of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and e-mail.  APPLY NOW.

Secretary

The Secretary is a member of the Executive Committee and is responsible for recording meeting minutes, maintaining corporate records, and managing other important organizational documents.  Time commitment averages 5 hours per month.  Length of term is 2 years, beginning July 1, 2007, and ending June 30, 2009.  Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree (related experience or coursework will be considered), some secretarial experience (preferably in the nonprofit sector), excellent communication skills, and be computer literate, especially in the use of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, and e-mail.  APPLY NOW.

Director of Development

The Director of Development is responsible for creating, developing, and sustaining revenue streams to support the financial health of the organization.  Time commitment averages 15 hours per month.  Length of term is 2 years, beginning immediately and ending June 30, 2009.  Applicant should have a Bachelor’s degree (related experience or coursework will be considered), experience in grant writing and fund-raising, exceptional writing abilities, and be computer literate, especially in the use of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, and e-mail.  APPLY NOW.

Director of Web Resources

The Director of Web Resources is responsible for envisioning, creating and maintaining the Quad-City Labyrinth Project Web site, including the implementation of existing plans and ideas.  Time commitment averages 15 - 20 hours per month.  Length of term is 2 years, beginning immediately and ending June 30, 2009.  Prefer Bachelor's degree or higher in related area; related experience or coursework also considered.  Prefer knowledge of Web development, HTML and related languages, and some experience or knowledge of graphic design.  Experience with Amazon.com, PayPal, and online sales preferred.  Extremely computer literate.  APPLY NOW.

Director of Creative Programming

The Director of Creative Programming is responsible for researching, planning and coordinating new and existing educational programs.  Time commitment averages 15 hours per month.  Length of term is 2 years, beginning immediately and ending June 30, 2009.  Applicant should have a Bachelor's degree or higher in related area, teaching experience, and be computer literate, especially in the use of Microsoft Office and e-mail.  APPLY NOW.


Director of Outreach

The Director of Community Outreach is responsible for establishing and nurturing collaborative partnerships between Quad-City Labyrinth Project and individuals, groups, organizations, and businesses in the community.  Time commitment averages 15 hours per month.  Length of term is 2 years, beginning immediately and ending June 30, 2009.  Applicant should have a Bachelor's degree (related experience or coursework will be considered), an enthusiastic attitude for building and sustaining business relationships and community partnerships, and be computer literate, especially in the use of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, and e-mail.  APPLY NOW

Board Member-At-Large

A Member-At-Large provides guidance and assistance to the Quad-City Labryinth Project Board of Directors and to any of the Committees Outreach, Creative Programming, Development, Marketing & PR, or Web Resources) on which s/he serves.  Time commitment averages 5 hours per month.  Length of term is 1 year, begining July 1 and ending June 30.  Prefer experience with non-oprofit organizations or strong ties within the community, and computer literacy, especially in the use of Microsoft Office and e-mail.  APPLY NOW.

Office Manager
The Office Manager organizes and maintains the QCLP headquarters by coordinating all office services under the direction of the Executive Director.  The Office Manager also upervises the Office Assistant and volunteers.  Time commitment averages 20 hours per month.  Position is renewable annually.  Applicants should have strong office and clerical skills (experience in management preferred), and be computer literate, especially in the use of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, and e-mail.  APPLY NOW.
