2006-2007
 
The School Year is off to a great start!
  • Students are awarded $50 Series EE U.S. Savings Bonds as prizes in the September and October Writers Showcase Contest
  • Students received cash rewards in September and October for passing scores on computerized Accelerated Reading tests, after reading one-point (and higher) books
  • Five students received cash rewards (ranging from $15 to $25) for passing scores on computerized Accelerated Reading tests, after reading two-point (and higher) books
  • One male student received a cash reward of $21 in addition to a  $100 Series EE U.S. Savings Bond as a prize for reading four Harry Potter books (14 pts each), and passing all four computerized Accelerated Reading tests
2005-2006
School Year
  • Over 50 students were awarded $50 Series EE U.S. Savings Bonds during the 2005-2006 school year at Fontana Middle School.
  • Seven students were given the awards for exceptional talent in Mr. Nelson's ART Classes, while the remaining awards were presented to the winners of The Writers Showcase, coordinated by Mrs. Soto.
  • Tee-shirts for 2005-2006 District Math Field Day participants donated compliments of  The PhiLill Foundation - Miss Pearson, Math Field Day Coordinator.
2004-2005
School Year
  • Multiple Nickel Scholarships of $5.00 each, are awarded to middle-school students for original and adapted scripts (2004-2005 school year)  
  • 6th Grade Fundraiser – Fontana Middle School - The PhiLill Foundation matched funds raised during the 2004-2005 school year to provide buses for the 6th Grade Calico Ghost Town Field Trip.
  • The PhiLill Foundation donates funds to purchase microphones and musical instruments for the FMS Band & Chorus directed by Miss Jacobs (2004-2005 school year).
  • PLF sponsors a matching Quickie Fundraiser for a Middle School Music Program (June 2005) among staff members.  Funds raised provided new instruments and handbell sets for students.
