Subject: Presentation
Hello My husband, daughter and I got to meet you both on April 20th 2009 at Rock Hill in Manorville NY thru the ambulance company and School. Brad you gave my dauaghter Tabby a book and we asked u to write in it, You both made such an impression on us. I insisted on Tabby going with us and she at first did not want to go but afterwards she was glad she had gone. She is in the 8th grade and says drugs r all over the school. She was very moved by your story. I also work security at the school so I see the otherside of the issues with drugs, but there are so many parents as well as the board of ed that feel there is no problem. I also as well as my kids volunteer for Manorville Ambulance so we see another side of the problem. I as a parent feel your pain and truly am sorry and I know that doesnt change your pain but just to let you know I am truly sorry. Now as far as drugs I never got into any of that when I went to school but about 5 yrs ago my husband and i were out with friends and I put my drink down on the bar and a "friend" was acting weird and we had words cause he made a pass at me, when I took my drink back I drank it and within mins I felt weird we left and for three days I couldnt do anthing but lay on the couch, I went to the dr and they took blood and low and behold I was given the "date Rape" drug. I was lucky but let me tell ya it was a scary thing. I truly wish the kids now a days would stop all this stuff. But thankfully with people like the two of you will make a difference. Thank you so much Carol

Subject: Michael's Message
I'm sure that many people have told you how powerful your presentation is. It certainly is. However, in my opinion, the most important comment I could think of is: you save lives. How horrible that Michael had to die so that others could live but GOD bless you for using this tragedy to save others.

Subject: Your Presentation
My family and I went to Rock Hill om Monday night to support my daughters boyfriend while he gave his speech. After hearing your story I was devastated. I still think about it. I wish you both the best in your mission to help people in need.

Subject: 10 years later
Michael was my son's mentor when he joined karate. My son idolized him and wanted to me "just like him". My son was 6 when he started his black belt training and was 10 when Michael made that fateful choice. He not only taught my son while alive but quite possibly have prevented my son and others from making the same choice. I told my son if he was ever confronted with the same choice to not only think of Mike but think about how his Mother was at the funeral. We think of Michael often and can't believe that it has been 10 years ago. Michael you are still teaching and it's an even more important message than you could have ever taught on earth. We love and miss you daily!! Ucfmom

Subject: Michael's Message
Dear Michael's Message, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Natalie and I am a high school senior. When I was in 7th grade, Michael's Message was presented at my school. Since that day, I have not once forgotten about Michael. I know how easy it can be to fall into the trap of drugs, because I have seen my "true" friends fall. Because of you, I have the courage to say no every single day of my life. Even 5 years after watching the presentation, I still think about it everyday. I want to share Michael's message with the middle school children who will soon be coming to my high school. Drugs are a serious problem in Miami Dade County. This is a very touchy subject for me and it has truly impacted my life. I am one of the few students that care and I will do just about anything for the message to be shared here. Please let me know the procedures and actions that need to be taken in order for this to happen. As I await your response, I will be contacting the principals of my feeder pattern to inform them about my intentions. Hopefully, you will be able to bring Michael's message to our crowd of Miami. Thank you so much for everything you do. It really helps. I await your reply. Natalie

Subject: Keep the Love Alive
I recently was given the privilege and opportunity to read "Michael: Who Would You Leave Behind?"
What a heart wrenching and powerful message it gives out to the youth of America, Every teen, young adult and parent should give this book a read. It could be the first step in saving you or someone you love very much, from a very tragic ending.
This powerful message from two courageous parents is a great tribute to their fine son Michael, whom I had the privelege to know in his short life. Thank you for sharing it with me and my family. Keep the Love Alive, in your hearts, your souls and in the hopes for the youth of America.
