Mardan is a private, non-profit, state-certified special education day school located in the city of Irvine in Orange County, California. The school provides an alternative educational setting designed to meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of bright children from Preschool through 12th grade who have learning disabilities and/or social and emotional issues.
The school offers a rich academic program that meets or exceeds California state academic standards, while providing the support these children need to enhance their self-confidence, develop social skills and coping strategies, and build their academic skills so that they can experience success and return to a regular public or private school program if desired. Students at Mardan may be funded by their school district of residence if determined appropriate and referred by the district, or privately enrolled by their families.
Mardan School, Est. 1962, is operated by the Mardan Foundation of Educational Therapy, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit, non-sectarian organization that does not discriminate on the basis of race, sex, color, religion, or national and ethnic origin.
