A great learning opportunity for professionals from any background. Although it is not limited to psychotherapists, a large number of psychotherapists are part of this group and they find it very useful for themselves personally and for their practice. Material presented during these group meetings focuses around two central themes:
The first theme focuses on the psychology of authenticity and the "authentic process." This includes an exploration of four important archetypal/ existential ideas: Honoring the authentic nature and specific natural style of oneself and others; Welcoming and celebrating the paradoxes of life -- joy/grief, defeat/success; Fully expressing the deepest longings and desires of your heart and inviting others to do the same; and Passionately advocating others in their differences & idiosyncrasies.
The second theme focuses on the psychology of intentionality and the "intentional process" which includes two essential concepts: Separating the essence of your ideal vision from its form and then co-creating an inclusive vision with others that joins your essence with theirs; and Passionately celebrating & championing the negotiated "real" emerging from your co-creations.
The ILC professional group presents a great opportunity to learn how to apply these important ideas and tools of heart-centered life-leadership to your personal life and your professional endeavors. This is one of our longest running programs: Time-tested for more than 12 years and very impactful! This group is limited to 12 participants and has eleven meetings per year (3 1/2 hours each meeting). In this group, there is a great deal of learning, sharing and community building. Meetings occur the first Friday of every month (excluding July) from 9:30--1:00 and are led by Chris Saade (the ILC's senior trainer).
If interested, please call Barry at (704) 333-5344(x1) to reserve your space as this group tends to fill up quickly.

"I have had the privilege of training with so many magnificent teachers from different disciplines all over the country. All of them have enriched my life. It's interesting that in all of this, I find myself using what I have learned right here in Charlotte, with Chris Saade, every day in my work as a therapist and in my personal life. Nothing has prompted me to stretch and grow further than this seminal work."

"As a psychotherapist who facilitates a number of groups myself, I find it vitally important to be part of a safe, intentional circle where I am similarly supported and challenged. The Professional Group provides me with a place where I am called to show up authentically, to explore and embrace all aspects of who I am, to challenge myself and be lovingly challenged by others to be on my growing edge. The clients with whom I work share that it increases my credibility with them to know that I, too, sit in sacred community and use the process of a powerful group container to facilitate my own life journey.
"In the Professional Group, I have learned cutting edge concepts and tools that have been invaluable additions to my clinical practice with individuals, couples, and groups. I have found that experiencing and practicing these tools in a group process myself, is not only a profound experience, but a highly efficient way to learn and integrate them into the work I do with clients. Perhaps more importantly, I am offered an opportunity to be part of a community where I am witnessed and supported by others, and given a place to challenge myself to be on my own cutting edge of growth.
"The 3 1/2 hours per month that I spend as part of the ILC Professional Group is, for me, a powerful investment that I make in my clinical practice as a psychotherapist, and in my life."

"I firmly believe that "doing our own work" is one of the primary ongoing responsibilities for therapists and others in the helping professions. Chris brings an incredible amount of wisdom and insight to help each of us in the professional group more deeply understand and accept ourselves and our natures. And the more we accept and understand ourselves and see the gold in our own uniqueness, the more we can help others on that same life-saving and enhancing journey."

"The ILC Professional Group is a soulful, lively gathering diving month after month in deep waters (and finding gold) but most importantly, learning the art of diving."

"Belonging to the monthly professional group has been a huge source of growth for me both personally and professionally. As a therapist, the teachings are powerful tools I can use with clients. In my personal relationships, they are invaluable. Using the gifts of the paradox in my marriage is priceless. And being a part of the group with my husband is a rich source of communication and connection."
