Camp Shomria provides progressive value-based education for today's youth. Some of the people attracted to Camp Shomria find its connection to Israel and cultural Judaism extremely appealing. Others are inspired by Camp Shomria's dedication to peer-led informal education, which encourages youth to shape their community and find personal relevance in Judaism, Jewish peoplehood, and Israel. Still others love Camp Shomria's connection to nature and the scouting opportunities it provides campers.
