Summer camp is our central activity for ages 9-15, and is an
amazing transformative experience in 117 acres of pristine woods.
Campers learn to build fires, lash sticks, and speak some Hebrew. They
debate politics, play basketball, and engage in community service
programs with members of the Liberty, New York community. Most of all,
kids have fun and make best friends. Activities are held every month so
they can see their friends throughout the year!

Camp Shomria provides progressive value-based
education for today's youth. Some of the people attracted to Camp
Shomria find its
connection to Israel and cultural Judaism extremely appealing. Others
are inspired by Camp Shomria's dedication to peer-led informal
education, which encourages youth to shape their community and
find personal relevance in Judaism, Jewish peoplehood, and Israel.
Still others love Camp Shomria's connection to nature and the scouting
opportunities it provides campers.
