Habitat for Humanity depends on the skills and energy of community volunteers to build and renovate Habitat houses. Without the help of volunteers we would be unable to reach our goals.
Habitat for Humanity of Effingham County offers guidance and support for its volunteers. Our staff is always available to answer questions and listen to new ideas. If you don't know how to hold a hammer or you haven't held one for years, our construction department can show you some tricks of the trade, like hanging sheet rock or installing cabinets.
If you don't feel comfortable working in the construction of homes, there are several other ways you can help. Committee work, ReStore, first aid, food services, neighborhood involvement and office administration are other areas where volunteers are always needed. Take whatever talents you have to offer and make them work for other families and the community.
