Donations are accepted at the ReStore.
This is a very unique store at 3605 Highway 21 South, just outside of Rincon. Effingham County residents have already noticed the large Green and brown building. This building is now fully operational as a Habitat for Humanity ReStore.
The store is unique from the standpoint that it is a fund-raising and a recycling effort of Habitat for Humanity of Effingham County. The ReStore will accept donations of unused construction materials, overstocked items, serviceable appliances, and other items and then sell them to the public at greatly reduced prices, with all proceeds going towards achieving the ultimate goal of the elimination of substandard housing in our county.
These donated items are sold to the public through our ReStore. Your donations help others realize their dreams while benefiting our community as a whole.
Some of the items at the ReStore are:
- appliances
- blinds
- windows/doors
- dining tables and chairs
- lighting fixtures
- ceiling fans
- plumbing/electrical
- cabinets
- sofas
- paint
Everything except the kitchen sink..
Oops, I am wrong...we even have kitchen sinks.
These items are representations of the sale items in our ReStore.
The inventory changes daily.

Volunteer Opportunities at the ReStore....
If you haven't worked in the ReStore yet...get hooked up. Our volunteer needs for the ReStore include:
- Assisting in receiving and picking up donations.
- Cleaning and pricing items, Cleaning and stocking shelves.
- Working during store hours.
- Handy people who could spend a couple hours a week working on items that might need slight repair work before we can put the items in the store.
