Habitat's Young Professionals
Working together to address the growing need for safe, decent and affordable housing, these local young professionals are teachers, bankers, financial advisors and business owners; who are raising money and partnering to build a Habitat house. The have put their school and professional rivalries aside to come together to benefit:
Shelby Powell and her daughter Shekiyah Powell-Gentry
Shelby is a driven graphic designer with "The Thrifty Nickel"
and Shekiyah is an honors student.

The North Cherry Street revitalization project
(North of downtown Winston-Salem) off of 14th Street.
Shelby's wall build was held on July 25th.
Habitat's Young Professionals set a new time record of
2 hours and 20 minutes
to properly build all the walls for Shelby's house!
