Goleta Valley Beautiful Volunteers Celebrate NeighborWoods Month
Goleta Valley Beautiful will be celebrating
NeighborWoods month with a month series of weekend tree planting and tree care
events. Every Saturday from 9 am
to noon and again from 1 pm to 4 pm, volunteer tree care events are scheduled
at public streets, parks and schools throughout the Goleta Valley. For a complete listing of NeighborWoods
events, check the volunteer calendar at www.goletavalleybeautiful.org
or call us at 685-7910.
We are celebrating the benefits of trees in the places people live.
During National NeighborWoods Month, we want to share the message that planting
and caring for trees adds value to our communities. Trees are not just a local
concern but a national one as well. Your participation in National
NeighborWoods Month not only enhances your community's health, but also
furthers our collective efforts to ensure that everyone gets to live in
neighborhoods with trees.
National NeighborWoods Month is part of the National NeighborWoods
program, an initiative to re-green North American cities from coast to coast.
The National NeighborWoods initiative is a program of the National Alliance for
Community Trees in partnership with The Home Depot Foundation.
Come join your neighbors
for a fun way to invest in your community. Contact us at 685-7910 to sign up for
a NeighborWoods event in your area.
