In these tough economic times we at Poplar Hill Mansion have found a few creative ways for you to help that will not cost you anything.
Here are some of the ways you can help:
1. Food Lion Grocery Stores are helping the community by donating a small percentage of sales to local charities. Each time you use your MVP Card it will acknowledge the charity you have chosen and will send us a quarterly check. First you must register your card online. This is a simple process and will take you less than 1 minute to complete. Rest assured you will still enjoy your Food Lion discounts.
2. http://www.GoodSearch.com is a search engine powered by Yahoo! (similar to Google). Each time you use this site while searching the internet, Friends of Poplar Hill Mansion will receive 1.3 cents. Again, you have to register at the site first. Recently, Amber Watson, from WMDT interviewed our Curator about this site and how it has helped. Believe it or not, those pennies add up.
3. http://www.GoodShop.com allows its visitors to shop from from over 700 online stores ranging from Amazon.com to Zappos.com while donating various percentages to their charity of choice. Again, there is no charge or fee to the consumer. Sign up first and designate Friends of Poplar Hill Mansion as your charity.
If you have any problems, questions or just need some help with these sites, please call Nancy Marasco, 410-749-1776.
