· Family of John Berry, who died on Saturday, October 18. Prayers especially for his wife, Annette.
· Jim Goff (Trisha Nebel’s father) – After open-heart surgery at Emory on October 3, Jim had to have a trach tube placed this past weekend.
· Wayne Walters and others who are caring for aging parents, particularly those who are long distances away.
· Victims of Dalton law-firm explosion – Julie Leggett’s uncle, Jim Phillips, was seriously burned, and airlifted to the burn center at Augusta. Please include Jim and his wife Bonita in your prayers, along with everyone at the McCamy Law Firm. Some staff have minor cuts and burns, but for the most part are OK. Jim's client and her son were also injured. (Melody Parker works next door to the McCamy building. Melody and her co-workers had to evacuate and leave their vehicles there. They are all OK, just a little shaken.)
· Vern and Pat Grinnell – Vern has begun his treatment at Emory’s leukemia unit (Room E608). He’s on chemo, and, after all the transfusions of blood products, is really beginning to feel better. He has a very positive attitude. All prayers are appreciated! (Address for Vern: Vern Grinnell, Emory Hospital, Room E608, 1364 Clifton Rd., Atlanta, GA 30322) At last report, Vern was expected to be at Emory for a month or so, and then will be able to continue his chemo through Gordon Hospital in Calhoun. He has a bone marrow test coming up in several weeks to gauge his response to the treatment, so far.
