Here are some shots from the very first "Day of Beginnings" we hosted in June 2005.  You wouldn't know it from looking at these photos but we actually in the middle of a hurricane.  For 50 miles in every direction it was raining so hard that there were flash flood warnings issued.  As you can see from these photos GOD made sure our event came off with beautiful weather at our event!

Each child who learned the meaning of trusting the boat and holding onto that rope to pull them out of the water got an award.  They learn that the only way they can get connected to that power source that will pull them out of the water is to set aside their fears, guilt, pride and grab ahold of that rope and hold on!

Well Jesus is like that rope and he is the only way we get connected to God, who is sumbolized by the boat.  We have to put our trust in the rope, Jesus Christ.  Jesus is the only way to get connected to the ultimate source of power - GOD.

Like the boat God is right there beside us, guiding us and leading us through life.  We are not forced to grab hold but, just like the skier who wants to get up and going, we have to make a personal decision.  That decison is to set aside all of our fears, doubts, pride and our guilt and go with God.

So, just as these kids made a decision to grab hold of the rope and get pulled out of the water or just give up.  We, as Christians, have to allow God to pull us up out of the water and set us on the course He has determined for us.

This summer HOT Water plans to have more of these events.  We need volunteers and gas money to continue our mission!  Will you help?
