'You too can become a banker to the poor'. You can help a poor individual in the DR Congo lift themselves out of poverty-by learning, volunteering, speaking out and donating. Your involvement with First Step Initiative makes it possible for poor entrepreneurial women to create lasting change for themselves, their families, their communities and eventually, their society.
Learn: Find out how First Step Initiative is empowering women in the DR Congo to become self-sufficient, and contributing members of their communities/society.
Spread the word: Learn how you can use online tools such as your website or your own blog to tell others about the power of microfinance.
