The Humanitarian Foundation for Education and Development (FHED, Inc) is an apolitical Nonprofit Organization, an U.S.-based public charity created to fight worldwide poverty. We have a 501 (c) (3) classification from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) - whose mission is to implementing culturally-appropriate humanitarian and integrated development programs that help reduce poverty in the United States of America and abroad. FHED, Inc prides itself on being a source of knowledge and expertise for others grassroots associations and organizations that are already engaged in development. FHED' s staff pursues this mission by addressing key policies issues and bringing the expertise and direct knowledge to the field.
Since our establishment in 2000, we have given special attention to rural development by establishing food security in rural Haitian communities, transforming land and lagoons into successful food production sites, and providing educational development training to better the lives of marginalized citizens. Providing for the increasing demands in the areas of education, health care, and sustainable agriculture are some of the challenges that FHED, Inc faces as an NGO.

HEALTH FAIR ACTIVITIES
In prelude to its 10 years of providing humanitarian aid in Northeast of Haiti, FHEDInc is holding Free Health Awareness Clinic in Carice, Mont-Organizé and Capotille all year long. On Friday, October 2nd, 3rd and 4th 2009 FHED, Inc will be in Mont-Organizé for a free health awareness clinic renamed Madam Cléonce Joseph's Clinic at the CDS Community Hospital. Dr Genet Pierre MD, a Mont Organizé Native, will be on site along with 21 colleagues from Justinien Hospital to provide free health and dental screenings to the citizens of Mont-Organizé and surrounding areas. The doctors are in urgent need of medical supplies. We are therefore requesting donations of medical supplies and medications, such as insulin, high blood pressure medicine, Nifedipine, Tylenol, aspirin, Gloves, antibiotic ointment, condoms, etc.

A VIEWING IS SCHEDULED FOR FRIDAY OCTOBER 2nd FROM 7 PM TO X AM AT COFESMO NIGHT CLUB AND THE FUNERAL WILL BE HELD ON SATURDAY OCTOBER 3rd AS OF 10 AM AT ST PHILOMENE CATHOLIC CHURCH, MONT-ORGANIZE.
