With the rising number of killings in Philadelphia, I am concerned about the safety of youth during the summer. While this should be a time of fun and play for kids, as the weather gets nicer, more people are on the streets and more unnecessary activity is present. How can we best protect our youth during this time? We must also start thinking now about the safety of kids in the fall, when they are going to and fro to school.
