Training Opportunities 
IRS Tax Preparer VITA Certification - Beginning in November 2008, to become certified you must attend 16 hours of IRS tax law and Tax Wise software training and 4 hours of practice and testing. This is done either in 2 ½ day sessions or 5 evening sessions.
VITA Site Greeter Training - 2 hour of training will be offered on various days in Volusia and Flagler County during December. No certification or testing is required. Training will consist of procedures for obtaining and organizing tax documents, and for providing overall support to the Tax Preparers and Site Coordinator while insuring each client is served in a timely and orderly manner.
FDIC Money Smart Certification - This 1 day (8 hour) train-the-trainer session is offered and supported by the FDIC on an as requested basis. Classes are arranged when 10 or more volunteers express interest and have identified an organization in the community interested in sponsoring a class for their employees, clients or members who can benefit from the Money Smart Training.
