Tips for making scarecrows (at home or at The Stomp)

  • Clothing size doesn’t matter. You can make more than one if you would like.  Some people have made a whole family.  Just remember, you need to fit them all in you car.
  • Overalls work great.  Pants and a shirt can be pinned together but a pair of overalls helps hold everything together better.
  • Old baby clothes make great little scarecrows
  • Old gloves and socks or shoes make good hands and feet.
  • Don’t forget finishing touches like an old hat or scarf.
  • Going GREEN this year! Bring an old pillow case, cloth sack or purchase a burlap sack from us for a dollar! (instead of plastic bags we used to use for the head)

For the Scarecrow Stomp - Please limit to: 1 Adult sized scarecrow per family or a couple of kid sized scarecrows. Remember, your scarecrow needs space to ride home in your car with you!
