Back 2 School sorting and stuffing bookbags: August 7th & 8th. Site to be determined
Back 2 School event: August 9th at "My Sister's House" 921 Howell Mill Rd. Atlanta, 30318, 2PM till 6PM, volunteers needed noon till 6:30
Our 15th Annual Back 2 School Campaign is right around the corner. This year’s goal is to collect 3,900 new book bags filled with new school supplies to ensure that each child residing in a shelter or group home through out metro-Atlanta is physically prepared for the 2009-2010 school year. All metro-Atlanta Kroger Stores will be serving as our public collection sites for donations of new book bags and new school supplies from July 24th thru August 9th. Longhorn Steakhouses will also be serving as our public collection sites for donations of new book bags and new school supplies from July 7th thru August 9th We are looking for people to serve as site coordinators for these various stores.
Responsibilities as a site coordinator include checking collection box at your store(s) and making sure donations are not overflowing. If the donations are overflowing, please take them with you so there is room for other donations. You can either bring the donations to us after each pick up, or you can wait and bring them by August 5th. We would then like for you to do one last pick up either August 10th or August 11th. The days for sorting and stuffing will be Friday August 7th and Saturday August 8th. If you are unable to bring us your donations, please call the office at 770-649-7117 and we will arrange a pick up.
