Jackie believes that “all schools can benefit from finding new and innovative ways to help different types of learners. Back when I was a student, there was an assumption that all children learn in the same way. Today we know this is not the case. Research reveals there are all kinds of learners - visual, aural, kinesthetic, etc. Yet, even in our excellent school district, I see that in an effort to get through the very packed curriculum, the time, energy and materials required to meet varying types of learners, falls by the wayside.” Jackie has a kindergartner and fourth grader at Roaring Brook School.
