PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN AGES 7-12

Our program operates during Winter: Monday through Thursday from 2:30 to 6:00 pm and Summer: Monday through Thursday from 12:30 to 6:00 pm. Both are for children ages 7 to 12 who live in Edgewater, Uptown, Rogers Park and Ravenswood. The youth receive small group tutoring to develop their academic and studying skills. Furthermore recreational activities, trainings, fieldtrips, workshops, and projects are provided to develop leadership skills within the community. This program is successful because of the commitment of high school and college students that strive to help the children to succeed in school. Parents’ participation is also key to the success of the children in this program. Parents must commit to a monthly meeting with the coordinator.

There is a waiting list to enter the program. You must fill out a form to be able to enroll your child.

We are funded by Children and Youth Services. We are partners with the Chicago Children’s Museum, Children’s Memorial Hospital, Youth Net, Children’s Memorial Clinic, American Red Cross, After School Matters, and Sister Empowerment Sister.
