Counseling

Professional counseling services are available to mother's with children and are conducted on an individual, group or
conjoint (mother/child) basis. The counselor uses age-appropriate techniques such as role-playing, art therapy and sand tray to help a child cope with the trauma they have faced and rebuild their confidence and self-esteem.

"Safe Zones" is a support group for children at the Children’s Center.  It encourages children to express their feelings in a safe and supportive environment.

"Safety Plans"
Children also learn about safety plans and how they can keep themselves safe in a violent situation.
