Wine Tasting and Auction


27th Annual Wine Tasting with Live & Silent Auctions

On behalf of all of us at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Nevada County, a BIG Thank You to all the supporters who made this event possible!  Thanks to the generosity of our community and neighbors, we raised $18,000 (net) at our 2008 event which will directly support our agency and its mentoring programs.  Details of the event are below.

Saturday, November 21st, 2009
6:00 - 9:00 P.M.

Join us for a wonderful evening featuring fine wines from local wineries, exceptional hors d'oeurves, and many wonderful items to bid on during the silent and live auctions. This event is a great opportunity to mix and mingle while shopping early for the holidays! Everyone will receive a Souvenir Wine Glass.

The event will be at the Grass Valley Veteran's Hall, 255 South Auburn Streets.  This event is underwritten by Paul Law Realty/GMAC Real Estate and WestAmerica Bank.

Auction Items
 
If you would like to donate a live or silent auction item to this event, please download this form, complete and email to Dena or fax it to (530) 273-4113.  All auction item donors are recognized by being printed in the event program booklet and mentioned throughout the event by the emcees.  Live auction item donors receive added recognition through event advertising and promotions.  This year, all auction items received by November 10th will be listed on our website.

Participating Wineries (from 2008 event)

The wine tasting portion of the evening is generally from 6:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. and participating wineries donate their wine for the wine tasting.  At the end of the night, bottles of wine that were served during the tasting will be available for sale so guests can stock up on their favorite wines for the holidays!  Each winery is donating a percentage from their wine sales proceeds to Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring.  Below is a list of participating wineries and the percentage they will donate from their proceeds:


Ticket Information

Tickets are $20 per person in advance or $25 per person at the door. If paying by check, make checks payable to: BBBS of Nevada County.

  • Table & Tree Sponsors (from 2008 event)

    Table and Tree sponsors help offset the expenses associated with the event.  Their name is prominently placed on a tall sign on a silent auction table or next to the Christmas tree at the event.  Table Sponsorship is $150 per table and Tree Sponsorship is $500.  All table and tree sponsors are recognized by being printed in the event program booklet and are mentioned throughout the night by the emcees.  Below is a list of our 2008 Sponsors:
